Change Default Icons
The default icons for Macos as of 2023 are located here 👇
/System/Library/CoreServices/CoreTypes.bundle/Contents/Resouces
As of OS 10.11 to change default icons system integrity protection have to be disable.
Temporarily Disable System Integrity Protection
- boot into recovery mode by holding CMD + r during restart
- in terminal run
csrutil disable - reboot and edit icons at the path above
- when done boot back into recovery mode and run
csrutil enable
